Training Partnerships
There are many training opportunities available for those seeking career opportunities in the mining industy. Check the Courses page for information about programs offered by the Yukon Chamber of Mines.
The Yukon Mine Training Association (YMTA) works with communities and organizations - including the Yukon Chamber of Mines - to identify mine training opportunities and secure funding to operate the various programs.
Available online courses and training workshops include:
- Aboriginal Human Resource Council - Mastering Aboriginal Inclusion in Mining
- Placer Mining Safety Program - Crane Operation
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
The YMTA also hosts the Training and Funding Database - a resource of available training and funding opportunities that lie beyond the scope of the YMTA.
