Prospecting Courses

The Yukon Chamber of Mines offers instruction in geology, exploration and mining through the annual delivery of its Basic Prospecting Course and Advanced Prospecting Course.

The Basic Prospecting Course is an introductory course designed to introduce participants to mineral identification. This 16-week course is traditionally offered each fall.

The Advanced Prospecting Course, offered each spring, is designed for those wishing to work in the prospecting field. Participants must have previous related experience or have taken the Basic Prospecting Course to enrol.
