As the 40th Annual Yukon Geoscience Forum & Trade Show
fast approaches (November 18 to 21), this special edition of the YCM
E-News has been designed to keep you abreast of some of the special
events and important community, fundraising and student outreach
activities associated with this year's Forum.
Yukon Geoscience Forum: Registration Reminder
If you or your employees have not yet registered for this year's Annual Yukon Geoscience Forum & Trade Show, the Yukon Chamber of Mines encourages you to do so now, as several special events are already sold out.
The
Forum will encompass four downtown Whitehorse venues this year and a
shuttle service will be provided by the Yukon Chamber of Mines to
connect you to all the venues:

Mining for 'Movember'
During
November, and officially for the first time at the Annual Yukon
Geoscience Forum & Trade Show, 'Movember' activities will be held to
raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer and other cancers that
typically affect men.

Yukon School Tours of Geoscience
For
the second consecutive year, the Yukon Geological Survey will host
Yukon school classes - ranging from Grade 5 to 12 - to tour the Trade
Show and visit booths that encompass all facets of the industry (hard
rock mining, aviation, environmental assessment, assay labs,
etc.).
New this year, Educational Ambassadors to host the individual classes that will include the Minister of Education, the MLA for Pelly Nisutlin and the President of Yukon College.
