Robert E. Leckie Award

In 1999, the Robert E. Leckie award was created to celebrate and award worthy recipients for exceptional quartz and placer mining practices and restoration.

The awards are presented at the Yukon Chamber of Mines' Annual Yukon Geoscience Forum each November.

This annual award is a tribute to the late Robert E. Leckie - an innovative mining inspector from Mayo who championed planned reclamation practices.
